Isolated showers are expected along parts of the East Coast as the cold front makes its way over the country on Friday. 

Temperatures along the coast are expected to be cool to cold, according to the South African Weather Service.

The weather in your region

Gauteng will be fine and warm, but hot in the north. The expected UVB sunburn index will be extreme.

It will be fine and warm to hot in Mpumalanga. It will be very hot over the Lowveld.

Limpopo will be fine and hot to very hot.

It will be fine and warm in the North West.

The Free State will be fine and cool.

It will be cold over the southern interior of the Northern Cape. Otherwise, it will be partly cloudy and cool. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate.

It will be cloudy and cool with isolated showers in the western parts of the Western Cape in the morning. Otherwise, it will be partly cloudy in the afternoon. The wind along the coast will be fresh. The expected UVB sunburn index will be moderate.

The Eastern Cape is expected to be cloudy with isolated showers in the southwest in the morning. Otherwise, it will be partly cloudy and cool, but cold in places over the interior. It will become fine by the afternoon. The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong.

It will be partly cloudy in the eastern parts of KwaZulu-Natal. Otherwise, it will be fine and cool but warm in the north. It will become cloudy from the east by early evening. Isolated showers and thundershowers are expected, except in the west. The wind along the coast will be moderate. The expected UVB sunburn index will be moderate.
